Jeff Litke has served on the Naugatuck BOE and serves as Chair with the support of both Democrats & Republicans. As a lifelong resident of Naugatuck, he has spent his life in public service, giving back to the community through his time on the zoning commission, wetlands commission, in addition to the BOE. Jeff is the only candidate who can provide the experience and balanced politics Naugatuck deserves.

Jeff Litke is a lifelong proud resident of Naugatuck where he was raised and educated. He attended Naugatuck public schools and graduated from Naugatuck High School in 1999. Jeff then went on to attend the University of Connecticut and graduated with his bachelor’s degree in Political Science in 2003 and with a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of New Haven in 2011.

Jeff has always been a firm believer that public service is one of the most rewarding opportunities that someone can partake in. From July 2004 until December 2010 Jeff served as an aide to Connecticut Governor M. Jodi Rell. He then went on to work for the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development and then the Connecticut Department of Labor and is currently working in Human Resources for the Town of Stratford, Connecticut. During this time Jeff was able to work in the public sector and connect with residents and constituents and learn about the challenges facing the residents of our great state.

Jeff’s dedication to public service and volunteerism include the following:

  • Naugatuck Board of Education, November 2017 to Present (Chair, 2019 – Present)
  • Naugatuck Inland Wetlands Commission, October 2016 to October 2017
  • Naugatuck Zoning Commission, March 2007 to September 2009
  • Board Member, Connecticut Radio Information System, March 2007 to September 2009

Jeff believes that the Naugatuck is a great place to live, work raise a family and go to school. He wants to bring his passion and love of Naugatuck up to Hartford where he will work on issues important to Naugatuck residents such as taxes, education, economic development and transportation.

In his spare time you can find Jeff working around the house and doing yardwork, catching a play in New York City, reading a good book or exercising. Jeff could also always be found catching up with his friends and traveling.

Jeff is a lifelong resident of Naugatuck where he lives with his husband, Andrew Cosenza, who is a Registered Nurse with Healthcare Advocates International and their cate, Buddy. Jeff is extremely close with his parents, Stephen and Nancy Litke and his sister, Tracy Litke and his two beautiful nieces, Alyssa and Christina Roberts. Jeff hopes to instill his sense of community service on his nieces and younger generations and to make sure that they have a thriving community to live in.
